Veterans United was awesome to work with. As long as you provide any information requested in a timely manner the process went very smoothly. We ended up closing our VA loan 4 days early!
I was so fearful when starting the process to buy a home. I was afraid of being disappointed with being turned down. All of my fears were put to rest after the first call from Veterans United. I was treated with such respect and personal care. It was like having a friend holding my hand through the whole process. They even provided a beautiful care package for our fur baby Foxy. Can't wait to proudly wear my t-shirt.
Corey Jackson and his team are absolutely exceptional in every step of the process. I cant express how greatful I am for all their work and now my family gets to enjoy our new home thanks to them.
They did an outstanding job.Danny and Adriana were very great to work with. They helped me with everything I needed to complete the closing of my house and answer every question that I had.
Matt Hina was excellent- skilled and personable. Not so fond of Blair Roberts expectations and pettiness. The documentation was ridiculous. I had zero debt, $300,000 cash, $10,000+ monthly income, net worth $1 million + for a $572k house with a credit score of 785. The documentation should have taken an hour. Not weeks and weeks and ultimately me capitulating in the middle of my mother in-laws funeral to link accounts.I completed a Veterans United checklist form which just restated what I already documented- closing attorney and insurance company. Not necessary. I typed it on the computer, printed it, signed it, scanned it and uploaded it. Some silly person said I needed to redo it and hand write all. That’s when I lost faith in the judgement and decision making of the collective team.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Mark,
Thank you for sharing this feedback, and I'm glad to hear you had such a positive experience with Matt. At the same time, I'm sorry the documentation process left you feeling frustrated and questioning the team's judgment.
I can understand how repeated or unclear requests for documentation would make an already detailed process more difficult. Having to deal with an additional request during such a difficult personal time only added to that frustration, and I'm sorry that was part of your experience.
I'd appreciate the opportunity to review what happened and better understand where the process and communication fell short. Please reach out to my Client Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
The Client Advocate team is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time. Messages received outside those hours are typically answered the next business day.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
I was completely blown away by the level of customer service. Simply astonished. I look forward to doing more business with Veterans United doing mortgages as well as insurance. If I had the money to buy another home I would absolutely do it right now and give you guys a call! Thank you so very much for a very positive and wonderful first time home buyer experience!!
