Although AJ and Emily were terrific, I cannot say the same for Michael Nickle. He was frequently brusk, unclear, and frankly borderline-line impolite. Unfortunately, most of the day-to-day interactions between VU and myself had to go through this person. I told him very early on, and I told AJ, that I didn’t appreciate his demanding tone and inability to clearly communicate. If he is going to be customer-facing he needs some training on how to deal with and speak to the people he is servicing. Had he been my initial contact with VU, instead of AJ, I would have stopped and looked elsewhere.
