Kaitlyn Peters was great! Really went above and beyond and got me through the process.

Thank you all so much for sticking with me, answering all my questions, and allowing the process to take a VERY long time due to my circumstances. I highly, highly appreciate the help and cooperation. I will certainly be reaching out again if I need help buying or refinancing a home again.

I paid an extra 10k for a VA funding fee using a VA loan through VU to get ignored and left to make sure things happen when they were suppose to. Asked about closing date a week ahead of time did not hear back then the day before was told it would be pushed back a day. With our contract it actually set us back 4 days because of the weekend. Kateleynn said just play hard ball and change the contract. Not how can we make this right. Then i ask about money after closing she says that will be the title company…i had to ask for who that was and the phone number gotta see that stuff coming if you work with customers but she did reply that same day. I will go ahead and call them myself again after sitting in a hotel that i had to get because closing was late…got to do better team its just got 400k in debt and felt like i had to stress about unanswered questions for days.
Response from Veterans United
Hi John,
I’m really sorry to hear how stressful this experience was — especially after choosing to use your VA benefit and trusting us with such an important step. The last thing you should’ve felt while buying a home was like you were left to chase down answers and figure things out on your own.
Delays are frustrating enough, but when they start impacting where you’re staying and how you're spending your time and money — like having to get a hotel — it adds a whole new layer of stress. That’s not the kind of support we aim to provide, and I’m truly sorry that you felt like the pressure fell on your shoulders instead of ours.
If you’re willing, we’d really like to dig into what happened here and make sure your feedback is shared with the right people on our end. You can reach my Client Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST Monday through Friday, and always happy to listen.
Just like everything else VA associated, Veterans United is just as incompetent. I would have much rather gotten a conventional loan and avoided contact with my “loan team”.I do not want further contact from Veterans United for any reason moving forward.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Arthur,
I’m really sorry to hear that your experience left you feeling this way. That’s the opposite of what we hope for anyone who works with us — especially someone who served.
I hear you loud and clear on not wanting further contact, and we’ll absolutely respect that. If you ever change your mind or decide you’d like to talk through anything, our Client Advocate team is here to listen. You can always reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com — but only if and when you’re ready.

Va united and its team made one of the most stressful home buying things a breeze. Can not express how happy I am with it

My home buying experience with Veterans United and my team was sensational. As a first time home buyer, I had little knowledge and a lot of anxiety. My team was so supportive and knowledgeable, it made the process easy. Even if an issue arose, they were on top of it and walked me through every step. They were responsive to even my smallest requests or questions. They made the whole experience seem easy. My team was extremely informed and professional, while making me feel like I was a priority. I would definitely recommend Veterans United to anyone looking to purchase their new home.

I researched and reviewed many mortgage companies aimed at Veterans. Veterans United was consistently the company that had the highest service and satisfaction rate. I begain my homebuying journey 2 years ago with less than Ideal credit. Veterans United worked with me for over two years to build my credit, purchase my dream home, and guided me throughout the process along with my realtor.Working withMax, Eric, Jill, and Ally was an amazing experience and if you're looking to purchase a home with a VA loan,Veterans United is not if you should work with them, but how soon.

Kayla was a gem too. Very helpful to us to answer questions

Jimmy and his team made the entire process very easy to get through. Their hard work made it very simple to sign the final contract at the title company. I would highly recommend their service to any veteran wanting to purchase a new home.

Michael, Kyle, Hayden and Christy all did such an amazing job. Everyone was always on top of everything and they were able to answer any question I had at any given moment. This was mine and my wife’s first time buying a home and I don’t think it could’ve gone any smoother. When we asked if we could try close early, the team managed to get the work done and we were able to get the keys when we wanted. I absolutely loved working with this team and will be looking forward to working with Veterans United more in the future (Hopefully the same team). Thank you to Veterans United and the rest of the team for all the hard work you guys do. I couldn’t be happier with how this home buying process went and it’s all because of you guys!

Communication was great. They were very helpful and didn’t push. Always got back to me in a quick fashion.

We are also grateful for Rain, our Loan Coordinator. She was very patient and understanding, even when we had hundreds random questions.Lastly, we want to thank the whole team. I will always recommend veterans United to my family and friends.
