I was very fortunate enough to have worked with Austin Butler and his team during my process. I can’t say enough how professional and patience they all were with me. My case was a little more difficult with doing a remote signing, but they got through it with a breeze. When I do buy another house, god willing I hope there still in business. 10/10 would highly recommend.

The team that I worked with was not very good at communicating. I feel that my closing took longer than expected because they were slow in getting responses back to me, would not answer phone calls, and would not return voicemails. On one occasion, it took me 5 days and 3 voicemails and more calls to other people to finally get a response that I needed. They did not seem knowledgeable enough with some of the requirements for the loan, specifically surrounding the details about the trust. We were told 30 minutes prior to closing that there were more issues that might prevent us from getting the money after the loan was funded. This was mostly a frustrating and irritating experience and would never recommend Veterans United to anyone. If you’re going to target the Veteran community, you should understand that this will come with a higher than average set of expectations for the basics such as communication, clarity, timeliness, knowledge, and attitude. These are all very basic items inherent to any job and are sadly, very often missed. Veterans, however, have this drilled into them time and time again and have higher expectations of those choosing to specifically want to serve our community. We hold a higher standard and with good reason. We shouldn’t get sub par treatment just because it’s a segmented and targeted market that we operate in.
