Veterans United was available almost immediately when we needed them, even on the weekend. Very quick to answer our questions. The whole process was extremely easy, speedy, and all done electronically.
The downside: I would suggest that you understand what you have to pay for as a buyer. Our Loan officer led us to believe that our "buyer" closing costs were going to be paid by the seller (but we never negotiated through our realtor). Therefore, the initial suggested closing costs (in the beginning of the process of securing the loan) looked like we were going to have money coming back to us. Fast Forward: at the end, days before closing, that was NOT the case, we needed almost $4000 to close.
Final: Make sure you understand what you have to pay for whether you are a buyer or seller. Negotiate if you want something different.
