The overall experience was def new to me as a first time home buyer and I was expecting a more smoother and efficient process. I was disappointed with the lack of communication and or urgency with the title company and the lenders stepping in and providing the necessary documentation to get the close down in a timely manner. I had to change my day off 3 times due to the closing date not happening on the day it was suppose to and I am glad my job was very accommodating in letting me switch my day off.
Veterans United was absolutely fantastic from the beginning - to evaluating our credit, pointing us in the right direction to improve upon our credit, providing timely follow ups to ensure we remained focused and on track, educating us to insure we were able to obtain results as timely as possible. Thoroughly explaining the process, educating us along the way and constant follow ups to insure we were content with our progress. We were searching many various areas in Illinois, determined to find not only an affordable home but a home we would love that checked all our boxes. They were quick to find us a realtor for wherever our interests took us.
We were unfortunate to fall in love with a house, which we didn't find out until the seller
had accepted our offer that he was court ordered thru his divorce to sell his house. We began to suspect that the seller was less than pleased to leave his home when his contingency period allotted to find a satisfactory residence came and went. As we really
loved the house we remained vigilant and waited. 5 mos later after the seller's court date he disclosed the judge had ruled that if he provided his ex with half the sale price of the home, he would be permitted to keep his home. It was very disappointing for us to realize that the house we had chosen would never be ours. VU staff were all very accommodating and did everything they could to help us find a new home.
We are very happy with our new home and believe that everything must have been designed to have happened just as it did. Even though at the time I would not have believed that we would have been able to find a better home, the home we purchased is exactly that. Thank you VU for standing by us and patiently guiding us through this search to help us find our new home.
As a Disabled Veteran, Veterans United made the home buying process and online experience extremely easy to follow and were concise in assisting me with any and all questions. Thanks to VU My family now has a place to call HOME.
I just wanted to thank the entire team that helped make our dreams come true. I am extremely happy with the process that our Veterans United team supplied us with. The portal was extremely easy to manage and utilize. The to-do list was very helpful and straight forward uploading or signing the documents needed. It was great to know what needed to be done and helped us guage our time line as we went through this process. I would 1000% recommend this team to any of my other Veteran friends who are looking to purchase a home. Thank you again!

Before deciding to work with Veteran's United, we attempted to work with another agency. We found out very quickly through the buying process that company was not for us. When we decided to work with Veteran's United, we found out very early that it felt right and the team was compassionate to our concerns.
Moya Brown and her team was very easy to work with. I thoroughly enjoyed the buying experience with them. They made it so easy and smooth every step of the way. I would highly recommend Veterans United and Team Moya Brown to any veteran looking to purchase or refinance.
SF.
the whole experience was easy. It started by clicking on a house on Zillow we liked last year. After we decided to wait about a year to purchase a house we found a house we liked that was sold the day we got pre-approved. We then decided to look at the house we ended up buying and were able to start the buying process that day. Brad and Katie made it simple and we never felt stressed during the process.
Underwriting is terrible.
