Veterans United is the way to go.Talk about teamwork making the dream work. Well my fellow Veterans, lend me your ears.Veterans United made our dream come true! I salute the entire team of professionals at Veterans united! Thank you for service!

Working with the VA for our home buying Financials was a wonderful experience. Specifically, Jennifer Heishman and her team helped us each step of the way lessening the stress for an older couple to get through the process of buying a house.

This experience was alot for a first time homebuyer but the team did a great job and keeping me informed, up to date, and ensuring I had anything I needed. If I ever need another home I hope I have the luxury of working with them again

Horrible experience when it came to your underwriters. The items we would submit sometimes just were not good enough, had to show stronger proof we are who we said we are. Was never clear upfront about list of items they needed. always sent "to do" lists with maybe 4 to 5 items, then another with 4 to 5 items, then circle back around to the first one and say "we need it again, with more clarity". We never felt we were getting the house until closing day. If it werent for Luke and our realtor Patrick we would have thrown the towel in long ago. Your underwriters act like they have the power of a king.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Laura,
I appreciate you taking the time to share this. The home loan process can be a lot, and I’m really sorry that underwriting felt so frustrating and unclear. We know how important it is to feel confident along the way, and it sounds like we could have done a better job setting expectations from the start. I’m really glad Luke and Patrick helped you push through, but I’d love for you to connect with my team so we can learn more about your experience and continue improving. If you're open to it, please reach out to us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST Monday through Friday, but feel free to reach out anytime.

I would of appreciated more transparency is this process because this was my first time buying a home. Unfortunately, I feel towards my closing alot of things I had to pull teeth to get from my team in order to close on time. There was no call or explanation for documents i have never seen before. I would of loved to have been guided through this process seamlessly but that was not my experience.

Hey Aleasha,
I’m really sorry to hear that your first homebuying experience didn’t feel as transparent or seamless as it should have. Buying a home—especially for the first time—comes with a lot of moving parts, and you should never feel like you have to chase down information. That’s not the experience we want for our borrowers, and I’d love the chance for my team to learn more about what happened. If you’re open to it, please reach out at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.

As a veteran I was thrilled at how easy and seamless the entire process was. The team was very professional and always had time for me throughout the home purchase. I would highly recommend this group to anyone. Thank you guys very very much!!
Dwayne

All said, this is the way to go!!! Very pleased! Thank you!!
